History

My Story

Growing up on the Wind River Reservation, quilting wasn’t just a craft—it was a tradition woven into the fabric of our culture. Inspired by my mother’s teachings, I founded Miracle Designs, a Native-owned business dedicated to preserving our heritage and supporting our community.

Every stitch in these star quilts is infused with love and prayer, carrying on the legacy passed down through generations. Our logo, with its eight diamonds representing my family, symbolizes unity and resilience. It’s a tribute to the strength of my loved ones, especially my sister Taylor, our evening star and angel who is no longer with us.

Beyond creating beautiful quilts, my dream is to make a difference. By providing job opportunities and teaching traditional quilting classes, I want to empower families on the reservation to thrive. I’m not just selling blankets; it’s about weaving connections and preserving my cultural identity.

Miracle Designs is more than a business—it’s a family effort. From sketching designs to teaching my little sister the art of quilting, I’m doing my best to pass down this beautiful art and make my community a better place. But my blankets are not just for Native Americans– they are for anyone who wants love and comfort. The traditional start, which is the starting point of each blanket, symbolizes the four directions and the four stages of life–infancy, youth, maturity, and old age.

The Journey

Empowering Community through Artistic Expansion

In the future, I envision expanding Miracle Designs beyond quilts to include rugs and dresses, spreading the beauty of star patterns even further. My goal is to share our cultural heritage with a wider audience while continuing to support our community.

What we do

Stitching Stories of Strength Together

At Miracle Designs, community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in giving back and supporting those around us, especially on the Wind River Reservation. Through our handcrafted star quilts, we not only provide comfort and warmth but also opportunities for Native families. From job opportunities to traditional quilting classes, we strive to uplift and empower our community.

Teaching my little sister to make quilts is just one way I share knowledge and traditions with others. I envision this business as more than just a source of income; it’s a platform for growth and connection. Together, we can preserve our cultural heritage and create a brighter future for generations to come. Join us in spreading love, hope, and positivity throughout our community.
